Everything is "fine."

You work hard.

You make sure everything runs smoothly.

You take care of everyone: kids, spouse, other family.

You're working, going to school, or both.

You function, maybe you even excel.

But is this how it's supposed to be?

You're struggling...

- fatigued

- anxiety, constant worry

- low self-esteem or hopelessness

- sleeplessness, nightmares, early wakening

- depression

- alcohol every night just to "relax"

- using marijuana "just to help with sleep"

- chronic headaches or stomach issues

- trouble focusing and concentrating

- over or under eating

You're doing the work in therapy but still struggling with symptoms.

If this is you, I am here to help, because I've been there too.

Life is rewarding but incredibly demanding with all the roles we have to fill.

Life is messy and rough sometimes. I'm not here to fix it, or you. But I am here to help you get through it. I'm here to support you as you work through life and its difficulties. I am a doctorally trained nurse practitioner (NP) with over 15 years of experience in both family and psychiatric care. I am here to assist you along your mental health journey with thoughtful, compassionate, medication guidance.

My Approach

Real and compassionate.

I listen carefully, speak honestly, and provide education so you can make the choices. Medication usually isn't the total solution and sometimes it isn't always the answer but sometimes it can help. I'm here to discuss options with you.

While I offer guidance and expert care, you remain the master of your own healing journey.

- Additional information and guidance

Jessica G. Viton

DNP, FNP, PMHNP

I have a doctorate in nursing (DNP) from North Dakota State University. I am a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with additional certification in Psychiatry (PMHNP) and over 15 years of community-health experience.

Much of my work has been with individuals facing complex physical and mental-health concerns.  Often these concerns have been shaped by adverse experiences in childhood. Therapy can help to work through these things but sometimes medication can help too.

I don't know exactly what you're going through, but I am here to listen to you and your story with empathy and compassion so I can see and know you.

I am a general practitioner and also specialize in psychiatric care.  Because of this I incorporate both physical and mental aspects that could be affecting you. This whole-person perspective takes into consideration the physical, emotional, and social factors that influence your well-being.

I’m also a spouse, parent, and homeowner, so I understand the pressures of the balancing act.
